Cards Against Humanity orders 100 thousand games
In a new excerpt from their kickstarter update – Cards Against Humanity talks about picking Ad Magic as the supplier for their playing cards. Check out the case study of Cards Against Humanity featured on kickstarter.
Here is an excerpt from the article:
“After we blew past our funding goal, we decided to produce Cards Against Humanity like a professional game, so we designed a box and larger cards and brought it back to our printer, who said he couldn’t make it.
The problem was the expense of making a game with 550 unique cards – it’s a nightmare to set up, print, cut, and sort.
We spent a few weeks talking to every playing card company and printer in the U.S. and getting rejected over and over again..Eventually, we expanded our search…and found AdMagic. They were one of the first people we talked to but we liked them the best.”
The article goes on to talk about how we worked back and forth on all the details regarding the production of the decks for over a month. The team wanted something that would stand out from the usual board game look. They eventually developed a black and white design that really sets itself apart and is instantly recognizable at a glance. The hugely popular card deck is also HUGE. An impressive 550 cards – not counting expansions – it is without doubt a very “prolific” deck and probably one of the largest out there! Of course it is funny as hell and beyond clever to boot One of the most unique decks of custom playing card games we have ever produced, Cards Against Humanity is also one of the biggest sellers. Considered to be the bell weather of kickstarter card decks – CAH has garnered reecognition among their peers for innovation and ingenuity. Personally – I think these guys are brilliant and it is a pleasure to work with them.
Starting out their letter to fans of the game with:

It’s our pleasure to announce that… we placed the order for over one thousand copies of Cards Against Humanity with our printer Ad Magic.
