Another kickstarter first: Custom Havoc Boards for Risk players!
If you play risk – or if you think you might like to try it – our clients Bungled Board Games have come up with a great new kickstarter campaign called Havoc Boards. We made the prototype – which – as you can see here – is a great representation of how the final boards will look.
Custom Havoc Game Board
Each map has been play tested and each different board offers players a completely unique game experience. For those familiar with Risk, – these boards are a brilliant way to spice up your game. With maps that are as geographically accurate as possible, these custom game boards have minor territorial changes to ensure excellent gameplay.
If you intend to play Havoc Boards, but don’t already own RISK®, go pick up a copy for the full Havoc experience! The planned Havoc Board rewards include only a classic board style or engraved wood Havoc Board and one set of map specific territory cards. These will be completely unique to the map ordered.
Here is what got the guys going:
They had always been avid RISK® players.Throughout the years they had gone to war more times than they could remember. The alliances that develop to balance the power usually end with a backstabbing that is enough to send even the sanest of people into a board flipping rage. But no matter what the game was always fun as hell to play.
To mix things up, they decided to create a map of Boston to play on, as they were all living there at the time. It turned out to be more fun than they ever imagined, taking over the areas of Boston where they lived, worked and played. Soon after they decided to create several different high quality maps of different areas to play on. Although they all love RISK® the way it is, they just think it would be cool for people to play it in their own locales.
Their mission is to Create maps that are as true as possible to the real life locations and to make them fun to play on. They need your help. They cannot afford to order a laser engraver and the large sized print runs they need in order to successfully distribute these game boards. With kickstarter, they hope to be able to raise the $20,000 necessary to buy both the laser engraver and print the runs of game boards.
