How to properly describe the order you want your custom playing cards to appear in the deck
Which is the first card in a custom deck of cards and which is the last?
When clients design their playing cards they need to bear in mind which is the first and which is the last playing card in the deck. Generally when you pull custom playing card decks out of their boxes – the first card you see is the joker. Many people consider this the TOP card in the deck – so when you submit your files number this card number 1.
The 54th card is the last card you would see when pulling the deck out of its box. This card would be numbered 54. All of the cards in between would be numbered according to their desired position in the deck.
See attached diagram which will further clarify the position of the first and last playing card in the deck. In a regular deck the Joker is generally the first card and the ace of hearts if generally the 54th card.
